Couples Therapy
Relationships can bring connection, intimacy and meaning to our lives. They can also be complex, challenging and at times painful. Even in relationships that feel loving and committed, it is common to find yourselves caught in patterns that are difficult to understand or change.
Couples therapy offers a space for you and your partner to explore these difficulties together in the presence of a supportive other. Whether you are experiencing conflict, communication difficulties, emotional distance, challenges around intimacy, or struggling to navigate a significant life event, therapy can provide an opportunity to slow down and understand what is happening between you.
My role is not to take sides or decide who is right or wrong. Instead, I aim to help create a space where each person can feel heard, understood and able to express what is important to them. Together, we can explore the emotions, needs and patterns that may sit beneath recurring difficulties.
With time, couples therapy can support you in developing a deeper understanding of one another, communicating more openly, and finding new ways of relating. The aim is not to ‘fix’ relationships, but to create opportunities for greater understanding, connection and choice.
If you are considering couples therapy, you are welcome to get in touch to arrange a first session and explore whether working together feels right for you.
